Mexican crypto trading bot scheme disappears with 3,000 users' funds

Around 100 investors in a Mexican crypto trading bot scheme that promised “daily payouts” and claimed to operate its own “crypto credit card” have filed an official complaint with public prosecutors after the firm disappeared, shuttering its physical offices, and blocking withdrawals. As reported by Milenio, Tehuacán and Puebla-based AMG GPT allegedly lured more than 3,000 people into buying trading bots — with prices starting at 400 pesos — “for a set time period” in return for seemingly guaranteed returns. However, while some users initially reported making money from their investments, the regular payouts didn’t last and many started to report “constant delays” when trying to access their funds. Multichain stops operations over lack of funds

The Multichain team said that the team’s funds and access to servers are currently with their CEO Zhaojun who is under Chinese police custody. Cross-chain router protocol Multichain has announced that it is "forced to cease operations " because of the lack of operational funds . The announcement follows a report from blockchain analytics firm Chainalysis saying that withdrawals appear to be a “rug pull” by insiders.  On July 14, Multichain’s official Twitter account announced that it will be finally halting its operations . Euler Finance opens redemptions after hacker returns funds

The Ethereum lending protocol was exploited in a $197 million flash loan attack in March. On April 12, Ethereum-based noncustodial Lending protocol Euler Finance announced that it would open redemption s after hacker s return ed the vast majority of assets stolen in a $197 million flash loan exploit last month.  Euler says it will repay all sub-account liabilities at the block the protocol was disabled on March 13. The on-chain price oracle, provided by either Uniswap or Chainlink, will determine the Ether (ETH) value of assets and liabilities.
