Telegram CEO Durov says he was poisoned during TON fund raise

Telegram founder and The Open Network (TON) developer Pavel Durov has claimed that he was poisoned in 2018 as tensions between Telegram and Russia began to escalate.   Durov revealed the poisoning attempt during an interview on the Lex Fridman podcast on Tuesday. In it, he described a “weird” neighbor leaving something at the door of the townhouse he was renting.  Within the hour, he said he began to fear for his life as his body began to shut down and he collapsed. Durov says he eventually woke up covered in broken blood vessels and was unable to walk for two weeks.   Durov poisoned during eventful spring Durov didn’t specify exactly when the poisoning occurred, only revealing that it happened in the spring of 2018. Ripple CEO Hints XRP Will Be Part of White House Crypto Stockpile, ETF

Ripple’s CEO, Brad Garlinghouse, stated in a Bloomberg interview that he is confident XRP will be included in the White House’s crypto stockpile. Garlinghouse also stressed that the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) could approve XRP ETFs by the year’s end. Garlinghouse said that XRP ETFs are “inevitable.” The SEC has over 11 pending applications, which include those from Franklin Templeton, Bitwise, and Canary, among others. The SEC had delayed Franklin Templeton’s application until November this year. In a recent interview, Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse has assured that its stablecoin launch is “very close.” The highly anticipated RLUSD stablecoin has always been poised to launch in 2024. Now, Garlinghouse has said that that very launch date is a mere weeks away. The year has been an up-and-down one for the company. Although its years-long legal battle with the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has come to an end, its XRP native token has struggled throughout August. There are hopes that the incoming stablecoin could revitalize sentiment around the ecosystem.
