Crypto Exchange Binance Airdrops and Lists Native Asset of ‘Lending Super App’

The largest crypto exchange platform in the world by trading volume has rolled out trading support for the native asset of a low-cap decentralized finance (DeFi) project. On Monday, Binance listed the decentralized lending and borrowing platform Euler (EUL) via its HODLer Airdrops program, which rewards BNB holders with select tokens based on historical snapshots of their balances. Euler bills itself as the “DeFi super app” and operates as a decentralized exchange (DEX) in addition to offering lending services. EUL is an ERC-20 token that can be used for governance, rewards and in auctions to distribute protocol fees. Binance listed the asset for trading on Monday. The exchange attached a seed tag to EUL, a designation it applies to lower-liquidity projects that could potentially exhibit higher volatility compared to other listed assets. Two Solana (SOL)-Based Altcoins Get the Nod From Top US-Based Crypto Exchange by Trading Volume Coinbase

A pair of Solana (SOL)-based altcoins is dipping in price after gaining support from the largest crypto exchange by trading volume in the US. In a new thread on the social media platform X, Coinbase Assets says it is adding support for Jito Staked SOL (JITOSOL) and non-fungible token (NFT) marketplace Metaplex (MPLX). “Jito Staked SOL and Metaplex are now live on //coinbase.com and in the Coinbase iOS and Android apps. Coinbase customers can log in to buy, sell, convert, send, receive or store these assets.” News of the support caused both assets to dip as JITOSOL is trading for $217 at time of writing, a 6.8% decrease on the day while MPLX is valued at $0.169, a fractional decrease during the last 24 hours. Garantex co-founder arrested while on holiday in India, report

A co-founder of the Russian crypto exchange Garantex has reportedly been arrested by police in India under the country’s extradition laws, according to TechCrunch. Kerala State police arrested Aleksej Besciokov at 4pm IST yesterday in the coastal region of Varkala, where he was reportedly holidaying with his family.  Last week, the US charged Besciokov, who is Garantex’s main technical administrator, with facilitating money laundering for transnational criminal organizations and conspiracy to violate sanctions. In conjunction with Germany and Finland, the US also seized Garantex’s online domains . The second largest US-based crypto exchange by trading volume is launching a new 1:1 Bitcoin (BTC)-pegged token. According to a new announcement, Kraken just dropped Kraken Wrapped Bitcoin (kBTC), a wrapped BTC token fully backed by the exchange. “We are thrilled to launch Kraken Bitcoin (kBTC), a fully backed, cross-network-compatible ERC-20 representation of Bitcoin custodied by Kraken… kBTC is a fully backed, cross-network-compatible ERC-20 token.
