Michael Saylor thinks sales of bitcoin weaken the network

According to Strategy (formerly MicroStrategy) founder Michael Saylor, buying bitcoin (BTC) strengthens the Bitcoin network while selling weakens it. Bitcoiners immediately pounced on this controversial claim. Their first critique is obvious: selling and buying always occur simultaneously. Each BTC purchase is also a sale, meaning there are always an equal number of purchases and sales at any time in the currency’s history. Giving Saylor the benefit of the doubt on this technicality, most critics were fine to assume that he intended to say buying at successively higher prices strengthens the network, and vice versa. Bitcoin set for a major low: Here’s when to seize the next ‘big buying’ opportunity

Bitcoin (BTC) is showing signs of approaching a significant low, presenting a potential buying opportunity for investors and traders. Trading expert Alan Santana projected on June 26 that Bitcoin could soon test several key support levels. Currently, Bitcoin is hovering around the $62,473.33 mark, which corresponds to the 0.618 Fibonacci retracement level—a historically strong support during downtrends.  Picks for you Robert Kiyosaki reveals why he won’t invest in Bitcoin ETFs 19 mins ago ...

Image
LINK, FIL, SNX and THETA are starting to look bullish right as Bitcoin prepares for a volatile price move. Bitcoin (BTC) is struggling to rise above the overhead resistance at $31,000 but a minor positive is that the bulls have not allowed the price to dive below the $29,500 support. This suggests that a catalyst may be needed for the price to break out from its range. On the macroeconomic front, the Federal Reserve’s meeting on July 25 and 26 is an important event to keep an eye on. The FedWatch Tool shows a 99.2% probability of a 25 basis point rate hike in the meeting. If that happens, the markets may not witness a knee-jerk reaction as the hike seems to have been priced in. However, any surprise move by the Fed could thrust the price out of the range. Crypto market data daily view. If the price breaks below the range, analysts expect a significant downside. ...
